Flowers and Chocolate
I don’t think I’m particularly romantic in my day to day life although I do like to show my love with little things said and done here and there. But Valentines Day can even turn a curmudgeon into a romantic and I would be devastated if I didn’t receive flowers or chocolate. Maybe it’s the time of year. We’re all crashing from the sugar high of Christmas and New Years and it seems to be perfect timing for another excuse to celebrate with chocolate. Maybe its reminders of childhood, growing up in a cold northern climate, when the February carnivals provided welcome fun and Valentines Day was a chance to get creative with red construction paper hearts that we gave to all our classmates. Whatever the reason, there are lots of chocolate goodies to choose from.
