Decadent Chocolate Ganache Recipe

Next to chocolate truffles, never has something so decadent been so easy to make. (In fact, chocolate ganache is really a chocolate truffle before it is cooled and shaped)

A Chocolate Ganache can be used as a topping, a filling or both. Use it with your favorite chocolate layer cake to bring it to a new level or use it in a more traditional way in an exotic chocolate torte.

4 oz dark chocolate, chopped

6 T whipping cream

Place chocolate in a stainless steel bowl.

Place cream in a small saucepan on medium heat and bring to a simmer. Pour hot cream over chocolate and stir well until chocolate is dissolved and smooth.

Pour ganache over cooled cake or torte and spread evenly overtop with a metal spatula. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set the ganache.

Now wasn't that the easiest chocolate ganache recipe you've ever tried?!
